Juan Nuno Killed in Santa Fe Springs Crash on 13538 Excelsior Drive
Santa Fe Springs, California (January 4, 2022) – The Los Angeles County Coroner's office identified the man who died when his car crashed into the rear of a big rig Sunday evening in Santa Fe Springs.
42-year-old Juan Gomez Nuno was involved in the crash at around 7:21 p.m. in the 13538 block of Excelsior Drive.
Officers said Nuno crashed into the back of the big rig, and his car slid under the trailer, trapping him inside.
First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. His city of residence was not mentioned.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
