1 Hospitalized after 101 Freeway Accident near Balboa Boulevard in Encino
Encino, California (January 6, 2022) – One person was sent to a hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Encino on Wednesday evening, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash happened at around 5:34 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, on 101 Freeway, just east of Balboa Boulevard.
According to the CHP, a gray Jeep and a gray Toyota Camry collided in the westbound lane of the freeway near Wiest Road.

One person in the Toyota was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
The westbound lanes of the 101 Freeway were temporarily closed due to the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
