Spencer Smith ID'd as Man Killed in 215 Freeway Collision near Columbia Avenue in Riverside
Riverside, California (January 8, 2022) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau has identified the man who died early Friday morning following a traffic collision in Riverside as Spencer Smith, 38, of Menifee.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on southbound 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue at about 2:13 a.m. on January 7.
At least three vehicles were involved in the morning collision. The circumstances of the collision were yet to be established.
The authorities said Smith was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries at 5:36 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
