2 Clovis Motorcyclists Killed in Fresno County Crash on Auberry Road

County, California (January 8, 2022) – Two motorcyclists were killed in a multi-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon in , according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on Auberry Road, just southwest of the Fresno Rifle & Pistol Club.

The CHP said the motorcyclists were heading southbound on Auberry Road when they drifted into the northbound lane to pass other vehicles.

For an unknown reason, one of the motorcyclists collided head-on with a Subaru SUV that was traveling northbound on Auberry Road.

The Subaru driver swerved to the left to avoid hitting the second motorcyclist, but ended up colliding with a black pickup .

The second motorcyclist attempted to avoid being struck, but he ended up slamming into the black pickup truck.

2 Motorcycle Riders Killed in Auberry Road Collision

Both motorcyclists, a 54-year-old man and a 25-year-old Clovis man, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV  was taken to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the pickup truck did not suffer any injuries.

Authorities said the motorcyclists were wearing helmets and were legally passing on a dashed line.

The names of the deceased men have not been disclosed pending notification of their respective families.

The crash remains under investigation.
