3 Including Sheriff's Deputy Injured in Redding Car Crash on Highway 299

Redding, California (January 12, 2022) – Three people including a Shasta County Deputy were injured in a traffic collision on Tuesday night in Redding.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 299 between Churn Creek and Old Oregon at about 9:30 p.m., January 11.
A pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 299 when it stalled and lost electrical power including lights.

A Shasta County Sheriff's Deputy was also traveling east and did not see the stalled truck and rear-ended it.
Two people inside the pickup truck and the involved Deputy suffered minor injuries in the accident and were transported to Mercy Medical for treatment.
