Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash on Folsom Boulevard and 60th Street

Sacramento, California (January 13, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a two-vehicle collision in East Sacramento on Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Sacramento police.
The fatal crash took place at Folsom Boulevard and 60th Street at around 1:20 p.m.
Police said two cars were involved in the collision and a woman walking across the intersection was hit.
The accident happened during student pickup hours near Phoebe Hearst Elementary School.

Some witnesses provided aid to the woman until paramedics arrived and transported her to a hospital.
Sadly, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Her identity was not immediatey released.
Police said the drivers involved in the collision did not suffer significant injuries.
The roadway was closed for several hours as authorities worked at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
