1 Killed in Canoga Park Car Crash on Canoga Avenue near Victory Boulevard
Canoga Park, California (January 14, 2022) – One person died in a collision involving a tanker truck in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened on 6500 N. Canoga Ave., near Victory Boulevard, at about 1 a.m.
A tanker truck struck a car in the area before careening into a fountain in Canoga Park and burst into flames.
One person inside the car was killed in the accident.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Firefighters responded to secure the area and contain any run off.
Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue were closed as the scene was cleared.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
