Man Killed in Lancaster Crash at State Route 14 and State Route 138 (West Avenue D)
Lancaster, California (January 15, 2022) – A man was killed Thursday night in a collision between a big rig and a car in Lancaster, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash was reported at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, January 13 at the intersection of State Routes 14 and 138(West Avenue D).
The CHP said a Chevy Suburban was speeding in the area when, for unknown reasons, it sideswiped an oncoming big rig.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Suburban lost control and crashed.
Driver Killed in Lancaster Collision
The man driving the Suburban died at the scene of the crash. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
It is undetermined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
