Gregory Masters ID'd as Elderly Man Killed in Indio Crash at Miles Avenue and Heritage Palms Drive
Indio, California (January 15, 2022) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office has identified the man who died Friday evening following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Indio as Gregory Masters, 90, of Indio.
The accident happened at around 4:40 p.m. Friday, January 14, at the intersection of Miles Avenue and Heritage Palms Drive.
Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the crash.
Details on how the collision happened were not immediately released.
Victim in Fatal Indio 2-Vehicle Accident Identified
Two people were trapped and had to be extricated from the wreckage. A total of five people were injured as a result of the crash. They were all transported to a hospital, three of them with major injuries and the other two with moderate injuries.
Masters was taken to John F. Kennedy Memorial Medical Center in Indio, where he later succumbed to his injuries at 6:01 p.m.
No other details were released.
The Indio Police Department is investigating the accident.
