Man Killed in Modesto Motorcycle Accident on McHenry Avenue at Rumble Road
Modesto, California (January 15, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a collision with a vehicle at an intersection in Modesto, authorities said.
The fatal crash happened a little after 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of McHenry Avenue and Rumble Road.
According to the authorities, a woman was driving a Buick southbound on McHenry Avenue and was attempting to pull into a parking lot just north of the intersection with Rumble when a motorcycle slammed into the front left side of her vehicle.
The motorcyclist was thrown about 30 feet upon the impact. The Buick spun out of control and hit a traffic sign.
Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Modesto
The motorcyclist, described as a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Buick, that's vehicle sole occupant, was unhurt.
No other details were given.
The crash remains under investigation.
