1 Seriously Injured in Visalia Car Crash on Road 140 near Avenue 256
Visalia, California (January 17, 2022) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a head-on collision that happened Monday morning in Visalia, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at around 8:34 a.m. on Road 140 at the Tulare County Fire Station No. 1 and just south of Avenue 256.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene shortly after reports of a head-on collision involving a white Jeep and another vehicle, with one of them overturned.
The responders found the vehicles with crash damage.
After evaluating the parties involved, the paramedics determined that one person had sustained serious injuries. An air ambulance was requested to respond and transport the patient to the hospital. Road 140 just south of Avenue 256 remained blocked to allow the helicopter to land. The victim was hospitalized in unknown condition.
Investigators did not immediately establish the cause of the collision.
