1 Killed, 2 Injured in Visalia Car Crash on W Riggin Avenue and Road 72
Visalia, California (January 17, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon at an intersection in Visalia, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup was reported just after 4 p.m. at W Riggin Avenue and Road 72.
Officials say a 30-year-old woman in a Nissan was northbound on Road 140 when she drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Jeep.
The 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A six-year-old boy in the Nissan suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The 32-year-old driver of the Jeep was flown to Kaweah Health Medical Center with major injuries.
All the vehicles were towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the accident.
