2 Hospitalized after in Bishop Crash on U.S. Highway 395 near Brockman Lane

Inyo County, California (January 18, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized Friday morning following a three-vehicle collision in Bishop, a local news source reported.
The crash happened at around 8:30 a.m. Friday, January 14, on U.S. Highway 395, just north of Brockman Lane.
According to the local news source, a 2015 Freightliner semi-truck was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 395 when its driver pulled in the center median in an attempt to negotiate a right turn into a private residence.
A 2010 Ford Explorer speeding northbound on the highway was unable to slow in time and slammed into the front right side of the semi-truck.
After the impact, the Explorer lost control and overturned across the highway and into the southbound lanes. As the Explorer overturned, it crashed into the left rear side of a Ford Econoline that was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 395.
The Explorer continued and crashed into metal fencing and a tree.
2 Injured in Highway 395 Accident
Authorities said two patients were transported to Northern Inyo Hospital with minor injuries. Their condition was not immediately available.
No further details about the crash were given.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
