Cody Tornquist ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in McHenry Avenue Crash

Modesto, California (January 18, 2022) – The Stanislaus County Coroner's Bureau has identified the motorcyclist who died Saturday afternoon in a collision at an intersection in Modesto as Cody Tornquist, 22.
The fatal crash happened a little after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, at the intersection of McHenry Avenue and Rumble Road.
According to authorities, Tornquist, a Salida resident, was riding a motorcycle northbound on McHenry Avenue when he slammed into the front left side of a Buick that was attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot.
Tornquist was thrown about 30 feet upon the impact. The Buick spun out of control and hit a traffic sign.
Salida Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Modesto
Tornquist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Buick, that's sole vehicle occupant, was unhurt.
No other details were given.
The crash remains under investigation.
