At Least 1 Hospitalized after Richmond Crash on Interstate 580 near Bayview Avenue
Richmond, California (January 20, 2022) – At least one person was taken to a hospital after being involved in a traffic collision that occurred in Richmond on Wednesday evening, according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on Interstate 580 near Bayview Avenue at around 7:20 a.m. January 19.
According to CHP, a gray Nissan Maxima and a white Dodge Ram pickup truck collided in the eastbound lanes of I-580 for unknown reasons.
It's unclear what led up to the crash.

One person was transported to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center with minor injuries.
The eastbound lanes of I-580 were closed for the investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
