Christiellen Almeida Killed in Twentynine Palms Crash on Indian Trail and Morongo Road
Twentynine Palms, California (January 20, 2022) – Christiellen Almeida, 47, died following a traffic collision that occurred in Twentynine Palms on Thursday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Indian Trail and Morongo Road at about 6:10 a.m.
CHP said Joel Almeida, 49, of Gaithersburg, was driving a black 2019 Nissan Pathfinder south on Morongo Road when it was struck on the passenger side by a black 2007 Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound on Indian Trail.

Christiellen was a passenger in the Nissan. She was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Joel Almeida sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Hi-Desert for treatment.
A 6-year-old boy in the Nissan suffered major injuries and was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center.
A 12-year-old girl in the Nissan had moderate injuries and was transported to Desert Regional.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Anthony Reinke, 32, of Yucca Valley, was transported to MCAGCC base hospital for moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
