2 People Hospitalized after Sacramento County Crash on Highway 16 near Jackson Road
Sacramento County, California (January 20, 2022) – Two people were injured in a Thursday morning head-on collision in Sacramento County, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 6:35 a.m. on Highway 16, a mile east of Latrobe Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Malibu was behind a school bus traveling eastbound on Highway 16.
The officials said that the Malibu then started passing the school bus over solid double yellow lines when it collided head-on with a westbound Chevy Spark.
Following the collision, the Chevy Spark flipped over on the roadway, and its debris struck a Chevy Silverado that was traveling westbound behind the Chevy Spark.
The Malibu reportedly crashed into the left front side of the bus

The Malibu and Spark drivers sustained moderate injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.
