, California (January 24, 2022) – Efrain Hernandez, 34, has been identified as one of the two men who were killed Friday morning in a traffic collision in Fresno.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened on and Floral Avenue, near Easton, at around 8:27 a.m. Friday, January 21.

Adrian Flores, 33, of Fresno, was driving a Chevrolet eastbound on Highway 41 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the opposite lane and went directly into the path of a northbound Ford F-150 , driven by a 17-year-old.

The pickup ultimately broadsided the van.

2 Killed, 4 Injured in Highway 41 Crash

Hernandez, who was a passenger in the van, was declared deceased at the scene.

Another passenger in the van, a 32-year-old man, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

Flores and two other passengers sustained major to moderate injuries.

The occupants of the pickup were not injured.

One lane of the highway temporarily shut down following the wreck.

No additional information about the crash was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
