Bicyclist and Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Orland Crash on N 6th Street near Date Street
Orland, California (January 24, 2022) – A bicyclist and a motorcyclist were hospitalized after they collided Monday evening in Orland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at about 6:34 p.m. on N 6th Street, also known as Highway 99w, near Date Street.
The report did not mention how the bicycle and the motorcycle collided.
Firefighters responded to the scene to help the victims.
Highway 99w was shut down to allow an air ambulance to land and transport the male bicyclist to Enloe Medical Center. The motorcyclist was also taken to Enloe by ground ambulance. Both victims sustained serious injuries.
One traffic lane was closed following the accident. Glenn County Sheriff's Office deputies were directing traffic.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
