Possible Injuries after Sonora Crash on Highway 49 and Shaws Flat Road
Sonora, California (January 25, 2022) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a two-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday evening in Sonora, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 5:30 p.m. collision occurred on Highway 49 and Shaws Flat Road.
CHP said two vehicles collided on Highway 49 at Shaws Flat Road.
One of the vehicles veered off the roadway and ended up into a ditch while the other vehicle was blocking the eastbound lane and the right turn lane onto Shaws Flat Road.

All parties involved in the crash were able to exit the vehicles. The names of the victims and the extent of their injuries were not immediately available.
A tow truck was dispatched to the scene to remove the wreckage.
The crash remains under investigation.
