Elderly Woman Seriously Injured in Fall River Mills Crash on Highway 299 near Ray's Food Place

Shasta County, California (January 26, 2022) – An elderly woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a car crash in River Mills just north east of Redding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision happened at around 2:17 p.m. on Highway 299 in front of Ray's Food Place.
CHP said a Dodge pickup truck collided with a Dodge Challenger in the westbound turn lane.

The elderly woman sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Her name and current condition remained unknown.
A 5-year-old child was riding in one of the vehicles, but it was not immediately clear if they were injured.
