2 Killed, 3 Injured in La Grange Crash on County Road J59 near La Grange OHV Regional park
La Grange, California (January 29, 2022) – Two people were killed in a car crash that left three other people injured early Saturday morning near La Grange in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred at around 12:08 a.m. on County Road J59 near La Grange OHV Regional Park.
A blue Kia 2021 Kia driven by an unidentified driver was traveling northbound when he drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2017 Acura RDX driven by Winton resident Gregorio Carvajal Favela, 60.
The Kia driver and her passenger, 50-year-old Thomas M. Rodriguez of Merced, were pronounced dead at the scene.
3 Injured in Head-On Collision on County Road J59 in La Grange Identified
Favela suffered minor injuries in the accident and was transported to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Two passengers in the Acura, Maria de Jesus Carvajal, 61, and Susana Pulido Olmos, 58, both residents of Winton, were also taken to Doctors Medical Center with minor injuries.
Authorities did not immediately establish the cause of the crash, but they are investigating.
