Injuries Reported in Linda Vista Accident on SR 163 near Friars Road
Linda Vista, California (January 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a wrong-way collision in Linda Vista on Saturday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place on SR 163 near Friars Road.
A driver in a dark-colored sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-15 in Miramar and Mira Mesa areas and later traveled onto SR 163, still going the wrong way.
The sedan then collided head-on with oncoming vehicles near Friars Road in Linda Vista.
At least four vehicles were involved in the pileup.
The wreck happened just before 4:30 a.m.

Minor injuries were reported in the collision.
Authorities believe DUI was a factor in the incident.
The wreck is under investigation.
