Jose Zelaya Among 2 Killed in Fresno County Accident on Belmont and Zediker Avenues
Fresno County, California (January 29, 2022) – One of two drivers who were killed in a head-on collision in Fresno County on Friday evening was identified as Jose Ruiz Zelaya, 42 of Fresno, the Fresno County Coroner's Office said.
The deadly collision occurred near Belmont and Zediker avenues at about 6:00 p.m. January 28.
According to CHP, Erin Olsen, 41, of Kingsburg was trying to pass two vehicles on Belmont Avenue when he crashed head-on into a silver sedan operated by Zelaya.

Both drivers were killed in the collision.
CHP said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
