56-Year-Old El Cajon Man Killed in Glenview Crash on Los Coches Road near Lakeview Road
Glenview, California (February 1, 2022) – A man was killed in a car crash in the Glenview area on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, a 56-year-old El Cajon man was driving a 2005 Audi A6 northbound on Los Coches Road when he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Helix Water District dump truck near Lakeview Road.
The driver of the Audi was rushed to a trauma center, where he was pronounced deceased. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
A 42-year-old woman in the Audi and the driver of the dump truck, a 60-year-old San Diego man, were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
The collision is under investigation.
