Rider Killed after being Ejected, Ran Over by Car in Garden Grove Crash at Chapman Avenue and Loraleen Street
Garden Grove, California (February 2, 2022) – A male motorcyclist died Tuesday night after he crashed and was run over by a car in Garden Grove, as per a local news source.
The collision occurred at about 7:20 p.m. at Chapman Avenue and Loraleen Street.
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle when he lost control and collided with the roadway. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was run over by a passing car.
Responding paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling at a speed considered unsafe for existing circumstances when he crashed.
Police said alcohol and drugs are not thought to be contributing factors.
An investigation is ongoing.
