Joseph Person Among 2 Seriously Hurt in Highway 154 Accident near Los Olivos
Los Olivos, California (February 3, 2022) – Joseph S. Person of Santa Barbara was among two people seriously injured in a head-on collision near Los Olivos on Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
The wreck happened on Highway 154 west of Foxen Canyon Road at around 6:30 p.m. February 2.
Authorities said a Lompoc resident was allegedly driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix west on Highway 154 at a high rate of speed when it drifted into the eastbound side and collided head-on with a 2019 Honda Civic driven by Person.

Person and the other driver were both airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries.
Both lanes of Highway 154 were closed following the incident.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played any role in the collision.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
