Jose Peres Suffers Major Injuries in Gallagher Avenue Collision

Corning, California (February 3, 2022) – Jose De Jesus Peres, 48, was among three people who were injured following a car crash that happened Thursday morning at an intersection in Corning, Tehama County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the major injury collision occurred at around 8:00 a.m. on Gallagher Avenue at Edith Avenue, just east of the Interstate 5 Freeway and rest stop.
Peres was driving eastbound on Gallagher Avenue at approximately 35 to 40 miles per hour while Aldo Rosas Espinoza, 18, was driving his vehicle westbound on Gallagher Avenue at approximately 25 mph.
Espinoza reportedly made a left turn onto Edith Avenue and struck the left front by Peres's vehicle.
Major Injury Traffic Accident in Corning
Peres and his 16-year-old female passenger were both transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with major injuries.
A 14-year-old girl was taken to UC Davis Hospital with major injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
