Elderly Man Killed in Alhambra Pedestrian Crash on West Valley Boulevard

Alhambra, California (February 3, 2022) – Police are investigating after an elderly pedestrian walking on the sidewalk was fatally hit by a vehicle in Alhambra on Tuesday morning.
At around 9:38 a.m. February 1, authorities received a report of a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the 2900 block of West Valley Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation showed that a car was traveling east on West Valley Boulevard when the driver, for unknown reasons, lost control of the car and swerved into the south sidewalk.

The car collided with a 74-year-old Los Angeles man walking on the sidewalk.
The victim, whose name was not released, died following the collision.
The driver, a 62-year-old Alhambra man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation into the deadly accident is ongoing.
