Bakerfield, California (February 3, 2022) – A 35-year-old man was arrested following a street-racing collision that led to the death of a woman from on Wednesday night in .

According to authorities, the collision happened on Panama Lane near Akers Road at about 6:20 p.m. February 2.

Iqbal Singh was reportedly driving a Ford Mustang racing with a motorcyclist eastbound on Panama Lane when he swerved into the westbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle driven by Bianca Danielle Flores, 19. 

Flores was killed in the crash while a passenger in her vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Singh was also hospitalized and will be booked into the Kern County Jail on charges of murder, vehicular manslaughter, and street racing.

Authorities said the motorcycle rider involved in the street race fled the scene after the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
