Motorcycle Rider Injured in Mission Valley Crash on Friars Road

Mission Valley, California (February 4, 2022) – A major Mission Valley collision involving a motorcyclist left one person with multiple injuries on Friday afternoon, according to San Diego police.
The accident happened in the 6200 block of Friars Road after a 2004 Honda Element parked along the north curb line made a u-turn in front of a motorcycle going westbound in the No. 2 lane.
The wreck happened at about 1:25 p.m.
Police said the motorcyclist slammed into the left side of the Element.
Elderly Man Injured in Mission Valley Motorcycle Crash on Friars Road
The rider, a 70-year-old man, sustained multiple fractures to his left humerus, left radius, left tibia and fibula.
The driver of the Honda, a 27-year-old man, was not injured.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the wreck.
