Jashwin Chaudhary Injured in Deadly Modesto Accident on Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue
Modesto, California (February 4, 2022) – Jashwin Chaudhary was injured in a fatal crash that caused the death of three of his friends in Modesto on Tuesday evening, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. on February 1.
According to police, 20-year-old Dearing Kouer of Modesto was driving a gray Infiniti south on Carver Road when he went past a van stopped at a red light.
As he entered the intersection of Carver Road and West Briggsmore Avenue, Kouer also failed to stop for a red light and drifted into the eastbound lanes of Briggsmore Avenue.
He ended up colliding with a big rig making a turn at the intersection.
Three of Kouer's passengers, identified as 15-year-old Jayden Chhue, 17-year-old Aalvin Chhue, and 16-year-old Jose Espinoza, all died following the wreck.
Authorities said two of the victims died at the scene while the third was rushed to a hospital, where he was also pronounced dead.

Chaudhary was also a passenger in the Infiniti and was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Kouer and the driver of the big rig were expected to be ok.
Authorities arrested Kouer on vehicular manslaughter and child endangerment charges.
An investigation into the deadly accident is ongoing.
