Joschka Zawadzki, Anita Carlon Injured in Plumas County Crash on U.S. 395 near Pozzolan Road
Plumas County, California (February 4, 2022) – Joschka Zawadzki, 33, of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Anita Carlon, 52, of Janesville, were injured in a Tuesday night car crash in Plumas County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, on U.S. 395, just south of Pozzolan Road.
The CHP said Zawadzki was driving a Red 2021 Toyota Corolla southbound on U.S. 395 at an unspecified speed when he veered to the left and crossed into the northbound lane directly into the path of an oncoming White 2009 Freightliner BCM2 box, driven by Fredy Flamenco, 45, of Palmdale, California.
The Toyota ultimately collided with the Freightliner. After the impact, the Toyota continued southbound in the northbound lane and hit a northbound Silver 2017 GMC Yukon driven by Anita Carlon, 52, of Janesville.
Plumas County Collision Injures 2
Zawadzki and Carlon sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Authorities partially blocked the northbound lane of US-395 following the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.
