At Least One Person Killed in Highway 58 Collision

Tehachapi, California (February 6, 2022) – At least one person was killed Saturday night in a wrong-way crash north of Tehachapi, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At about 9:48 p.m. Saturday, February 6, authorities received a report of a driver traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 58, nearly missing cars.
Shortly before 10:00 p.m., a pickup truck driving the wrong way slammed into a semi-trailer truck on Highway 58. Another semi-trailer truck reportedly became involved in the crash.
At least one person died in the collision.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
