Pedestrian Killed, Moises Luna Arrested after Rosemead Accident on 10 Freeway near Walnut Grove Avenue

Rosemead, California (February 6, 2022) – A person was killed in a crash with a suspected DUI driver in Rosemead early Sunday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The deadly auto-pedestrian accident occurred on the 10 Freeway, west of Walnut Grove Avenue.
At around 3:40 a.m., a 31-year-old man was standing next to his stopped vehicle in the No. 3 eastbound lane when he was struck by a 2016 Ford Mustang.

The man and his vehicle were pushed into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and were hit.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene.
The driver of the Mustang, Moises Rivera Luna, 31, of Rosemead, was treated for minor injuries and arrested on suspicion of DUI.
A passenger in the Tahoe, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
