Female Cyclist Killed in Livermore Crash on Mines Road near San Antonio Valley Road

Livermore, California (February 8, 2022) – A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle Sunday afternoon south of Livermore, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly accident happened at around 2:34 p.m. Sunday, February 6, on Mines Road near San Antonio Valley Road.
According to the CHP, the female cyclist was heading northbound on Mines Road while a 2010 Land Rover was traveling southbound on Mines Road.
Both were approaching a curve on the roadway, the CHP said. The Land Rover reportedly turned right to the left curve, crossed over the solid yellow lines and struck the cyclist who was navigating the curve from the other direction.
Bicycle Rider Killed in Mines Road Collision
The female bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
