Diana Filinyuk Among 2 Killed in Roseville Crash on Interstate 80 near Roseville Parkway

Roseville, California (February 9, 2022) – Diana Filinyuk, 19, of Rancho Cordova was among two people fatally hit by a vehicle at the scene of an earlier collision in Roseville early Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
A Honda Accord and a Nissan Altima collided on Interstate 80 near the Roseville Parkway overcrossing at around 12:20 a.m. February 5.
Filinyuk and her friend were driving in the area when they witnessed the collision and pulled to the center divider to check on the parties involved.
As they walked back to their vehicle, a 2017 Jeep Commander swerved to the center divider to avoid the wrecked vehicles and ended up striking the couple.

Filinyuk and her friend, Michael Olifir, 21, of Antelope, sadly died at the scene of the collision.
The driver of the Jeep, Brandy Kincaid, 45, was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The drivers involved in the initial collision were uninjured but the driver of the Honda Accord was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
