1 Person Killed in San Jose Bicycle Accident at Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue
San Jose, California (February 11, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday night traffic accident that killed a bicyclist in San Jose.
The deadly accident occurred at about 8:26 p.m., on February 10, at the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue.
According to the police, a 2013 BMW sedan, driven by a man with an adult female passenger, was headed southbound on Almaden Expressway in the No.2 lane approaching the intersection with Foxworthy Avenue.
Unfortunately, the BMW reportedly struck the bicyclist who was riding westbound across the intersection in the marked crosswalk. The BMW had a green light at the intersection.

The cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
