Minor Injuries Suffered in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 8 near Fairmont Avenue
San Diego, California (February 17, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries after colliding with a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred at about 4:17 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near Fairmount Avenue.
The motorcyclist collided with a gray Toyota pickup truck for unknown reasons. The rider was down in the center divider and the motorcycle down in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes after the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and closed the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
The rider sustained minor injuries and was offered medical aid by responding paramedics. It was not clear if the patient was hospitalized.
Officers are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
