1 Sustains Major Injuries in Corning Car Crash near Gaylord Avenue and Hoag Road
Corning, California (February 19, 2022) – At least one person was airlifted to the hospital after a crash that happened Friday night in Corning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred at around 11:16 p.m. near Gaylord Avenue and Hoag Road.
A white Acura RDX and a Toyota Prius collided for unknown reasons. Debris from the crash was scattered in the roadway.
Several parties were trapped in one of the cars, and one of them needed extrication.
Corning police officers responded to the scene and blocked the roadway to allow extrication of the female victim.
An air ambulance from Enloe Flightcare was requested to respond and airlift one person who sustained major injuries. The helicopter landed at the scene and airlifted the patient to the hospital in unknown condition.
Investigators are collecting more information to determine the cause of the collision.
