Ricardo Garcia ID'd as Man Killed in Wasco Crash on Highway 46 near Root Avenue
Wasco, California (February 21, 2022) – Ricardo Martin Garcia, 59, of Los Angeles has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision in Wasco on February 2, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The wreck happened on Highway 46 east of Root Avenue.
According to CHP, Garcia was driving a Lexus sedan on the highway when he collided head-on with a semi-truck.

The impact caused the sedan to burst into flames.
Garcia was pronounced deceased at the scene following the collision.
Authorities closed the highway for several hours as they worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
