28-Year-Old Laguna Beach Man Killed, 24-Year-Old Laguna Beach Man Injured in Lone Pine Crash on Gill Station Coso Road and Highway 395

Lone Pine, California (February 21, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday night tractor-trailer accident that killed a 28-year-old man from Laguna Beach and left one other person injured in Lone Pine.
The deadly accident occurred at about 7:24 p.m., on February 19, on Gill Station Coso Road and Highway 395.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old man was driving westbound on Gill Station Coso Road when he allegedly ran a red light and entered Highway 395.
Unfortunately, his 2016 BMW was reportedly struck by a 2014 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by a 60-year-old driver from Bakersfield.

Sadly, the 28-year-old man from Laguna Beach was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 24-year-old Laguna Beach man, was hospitalized for treatment.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
