Huntington Park Man Dies in Industry Crash on Pomona (60) Freeway near San Gabriel River (605) Freeway

Industry, California (February 24, 2022) – A 56-year-old man from Huntington Park died following a traffic collision that took place near Industry early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on the Pomona (60) Freeway east of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway at around 2:20 a.m. February 23.
CHP said the Huntington Park man was driving a 2005 Ford Escape westbound on the 60 Freeway when he crashed into the center divider and the vehicle was disabled in the No. 2 lane.

Shortly after, the man got out of the vehicle and as he was standing next to it, the man and his vehicle were hit by a 2012 Toyota Highlander.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released, died in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota and another driver who also hit the debris from the collision, stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with investigators.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
