Man Killed, Five Hospitalized after Highway 152 Crash near Cozzi Avenue in Los Banos
Los Banos, California (February 25, 2022) – A Friday afternoon rear-end collision has claimed the life of a man and left several other people injured near Los Banos, the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Highway 152 near Cozzi Avenue.
According to the CHP, a Toyota slammed into the back of a Honda on the highway. The force of the impact pushed the Toyota into a ditch while the Honda ended up in the center median area.

A male occupant of the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
There were seven people inside the Toyota at the time of the accident, authorities said. Four of them were transported to a hospital in unknown conditions.
The female driver of the Honda was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
