Maria Lozano Injured in Antelope Valley Collision on SR 18 near 263rd Street East
Antelope Valley, California (February 29, 2022) – Maria Delapaz Lozano, 67, of Littlerock, was among three people hurt in a deadly motorcycle crash in northeast Antelope Valley Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened on State Route 18 near 263rd Street East at about 1:15 p.m. February 27.
According to the CHP report, an Apple Valley woman was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on SR 18 when she drifted across the double yellow lines and crashed head-on with a 2021 Toyota.
Maria Lozano Injured in Deadly Antelope Valley Accident on SR 18
The woman was carrying a male passenger at the time of the collision. The woman died at the scene while her passenger was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The two occupants of the Toyota, identified as Lozano and Marybell Delgadillo, 31, of Littletrock, had minor injuries but were not taken to hospital.
The identity of the deceased woman is yet to be released.
The investigation is ongoing.
