Oscar Garcia Among 2 Killed in Turlock Accident on W. Main Street near Carpenter Road
Turlock, California (March 1, 2022) – One of the two drivers killed in a head-on collision west of Turlock early Monday morning was identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner's office as Oscar Armando Garcia, 45, of Patterson.
The collision happened shortly before 5:45 a.m. February 28, in the area of W. Main Street, west of Carpenter Road.
CHP said a 2016 Subaru SUV was heading west on W. Main Street when the driver attempted to pass vehicles ahead and collided head-on with an oncoming 2006 Honda sedan driven by Garcia.
Oscar Garcia Killed in Turlock Crash on W. Main Street
The impact caused the Subaru to overturn and it burst into flames.
Garcia and the other motorist, Abraham Farias, 36, of Turlock, were both killed in the crash.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
