Woman Hurt in Chico Crash on Highway 99
Chico, California (March 3, 2022) – A woman was injured in a collision between two vehicles in Chico on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place shortly before 2 p.m. March 2, on Highway 99 near Eaton Road.
CHP said a Toyota RAV4 and a semi-truck were heading south on the highway when they merged into each other and collided.
The impact sent the RAV4 off the side of the highway and it slammed into the fence in the area of Almond Tree Mini Storage.
Woman Injured in Chico Crash on Highway 99
A woman riding in the Toyota suffered minor injuries and sought own treatment.
The operator of the big rig was uninjured.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
