Seth Strader Killed in Oxnard Collision on North Harbor Boulevard near Gonzales Road

Oxnard, California (March 3, 2022) – Seth Strader, 44, of Ventura was among two men who died in a collision that took place in Oxnard on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. March 2, authorities responded to reports of a collision in the 300 block of North Harbor Boulevard, south of Gonzales Road.
According to investigators, Strader was driving a 2005 Subaru Impreza northbound on North Harbor Boulevard when he lost control and drifted to the right dirt shoulder.
He then overcorrected and swerved into the path of southbound vehicles, where he collided with an oncoming 2005 Ford Explorer.

CHP said Strader was pronounced deceased at the scene following the collision.
A male passenger in the Ford, identified as a resident of Oxnard, also died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a 46-year-old Oxnard man, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries.
Two other passengers in the Ford, identified as a 44-year-old Oxnard man and a 31-year-old Oxnard man, were taken to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks for treatment of major injuries.
The crash caused a closure of North Harbor Boulevard between Gonzales Road and Fifth Street as authorities worked at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
