Samuel Cendejas Jr Killed in San Jose Collision on Interstate 280 near 7th Street
San Jose, California (March 3, 2022) – Samuel Marin Cendejas Jr., 18, of San Jose was among two people who were killed in a car crash that occured in San Jose on February 15, according to the authorities.
The collision happened on Interstate 280, just north of 7th Street.
Authorities said Cendejas was driving a white pickup truck northbound on I-280 at a high rate of speed when he drifted to the right and collided with the rear of a northbound vehicle in the next lane.

The truck then careened off the roadway and slammed into a tree, before bursting into flames.
Cendejas succumbed to his injuries at the scene while his passenger, Kelly Denise Melendrez Santiago, 19, of San Jose, died at a hospital.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
