One Hospitalized after Baker Big Rig Crash on I-15 near Basin Road
Baker, California (March 3, 2022) – A driver was airlifted after being involved in a big rig collision near Baker on Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.
A purple tractor with an empty cargo trailer and a white tractor pulling empty moving pods were involved in the collision on the southbound side of Interstate 15.
The purple tractor reportedly slammed into the second big rig between Basin and Afton roads. It's unclear what caused the collision.

The driver of the rear big rig was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
CHP said nearly 100 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway from the purple big rig.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by the CHP.
